Jack Johnson is behind every shot in the new video for his latest single "Shot Reverse Shot."
He tells "Rolling Stone" he made the stop-motion clip himself while on tour in Australia and New Zealand using just his camera phone and a makeshift tripod he created with chairs and a stack of books.
He didn't have much of an outline either, explaining that he just started drawing pictures on everything from a dry erase board to hotel windows. He says he made it up as he went and tried to make the sometimes surrealist images parallel the lyrics as best he could.
"Shot Reverse Shot" comes from Johnson's sixth album From Here to Now to You, which was released this past summer.
